Joe Sorrentino is recognized as the consultant who not only tells you what needs to be done, but shows you how to do it.
For more than 30 years, he has been instrumental in implementing successful quality management systems for commercial companies and government agencies throughout the United States. His clients include The Boeing Company, Allied Signal/Honeywell, the United States Army Corp of Engineers and the Unites States Navy.
Sorrentino served in the US Navy as a Quality Assurance Nuclear Submarine Certified Level III Examiner for Visual, Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Radiography and Ultrasonic Inspection and was a key Nuclear Repair Coordinator in Admiral Hymen Rickover’s sub safe program. He worked under the nuclear propulsion authority of NAVSEA 08 where safety and integrity was always a first priority.
Joe regularly trains and creates programs for the Engineering Society for Advancing Mobility Land Sea Air and Space International (SAE). He has presented at numerous American Society for Quality’s (ASQ) regional and national conferences; the Society for Manufacturing Engineers annual WESTEC conference; and local chapter organizations such as the American Welding Society (AWS) and American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego.
Joe has published three training manuals – “ISO Joe’s Executive and Manager Overview: Understanding ISO/AS Requirements”; “ISO Joe’s The New Manager for the 21st Century: A Practical Guide to Configuration Management”; and, “ISO Joe’s Train the Trainer Series: Requirements for Aviation, Space and Defense Organizations – AS9100C Quality Management System.” His book “Configuration Management: Implementation, Principles, and Applications for Manufacturing Industries” published by Taylor & Francis is currently available at Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble and other major bookstores.
As president and CEO of Lean Quality Systems, Inc., he specializes in implementing new standard methods within the corporate sector. He is an expert in quickly assessing management systems and processes, recognizing problem areas, bottlenecks, and waste.
